West Coast Eagles AFL

There’s one senior spot available on the Crows’ list, however it remains unclear as to whether they’ll use the SPP or the mid-season draft to fill it.Should the Crows opt to select a player prior to Round 1, SANFL player James Matthews looms as the likely choice.Matthews, a speedy small forward, has had permission to train  with the AFL squad since November — and he’s still training with the club.He impressed West Coast Eagles AFL games  on-lookers when he was brought into the Crows’ SANFL side for last year’s finals series, highlighted by his four-goal, 13-disposal outing against Norwood in the semi-final.The Blues drafted gun utility Brodie Kemp with Pick 17 in last year’s draft knowing he wouldn’t play much footy in 2020 after he ruptured his ACL in a school footy game last July.Should the Blues put Kemp on the long-term injury list, which they’re reportedly set to do, it’d open up a spot on the senior list — and it could be taken by former Bulldog Webb in the SSP.Webb was delisted by the Bulldogs at the end of last season after a luckless run with injuries. He sustained a serious neck issue in the VFL in 2018 that sidelined him for the second half of the season. He was told by his surgeon he might never play footy again. However Webb returned in 2019 to play the first seven VFL games of the season before fracturing his fibula and suffering syndesmosis damage to his ankle. He missed two months before returning for the back-end of the Dogs’ VFL campaign, but didn’t play an AFL game in 2019.Since leaving the Dogs, Webb has been training with Carlton and impressed on-lookers. Should he West Coast Eagles AFL Live stream  get a gig on the Blues’ list, coach David Teague could play him in any third of the ground. The Magpies’ final list spot is essentially reserved for Lynden Dunn. The key defender, who ruptured his ACL twice in 12 months, was delisted by Collingwood at the end  of last season. However the Magpies invited Dunn to train with them over the pre-season — and it’s understood he’s the only player outside of Collingwood’s 2020 listed players currently training with the club.Dunn has predominantly trained away from the main group in recent months. While he’s set to return to full training midway through February — around one month before the March 13 SPP deadline — foxfooty.com.au understands it’s not imperative for Dunn to return to full fitness before the end of the signing period to get the spot. The Pies might even look at drafting Dunn in the mid-season draft if he has an unexpected setback at some stage over the next six weeks.Despite missing ample footy in recent years, the 32-year-old believes he has more than just one season left at the highest level. At the start of December, the final Hawks spot was Darren Minchington’s to lose.
